Gregor Kovačič has been appointed as the  Principal Conductor of the orchestras in Salzburg, Bleiburg (Austria) and Ravne (Slovenia). He is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of the most sought after conductors to emerge from Slovenia in recent years. 

For several years now he has been intensively preoccupied with symphonic wind music and has already arranged a considerable number of works for symphonic wind ensemble and various chamber groups. He is transcribing classical pieces for renowned publishing house Baton Music. 

He published Progressive studies for Clarinet “Clarinetum” and in 2024 book about intense relationship between Conductor and Orchestra Musicians , “Conduct or be conducted” (Dirigiert oder Dirigiert werden).
