Gregor Kovačič has been appointed as the  Principal Conductor of the orchestras in Salzburg, Bleiburg (Austria) and Ravne (Slovenia). He is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of the most sought after conductors to emerge from Slovenia in recent years. Since 2025, he has been teaching conducting in the University Program for Wind Orchestra Conducting at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
He published Progressive studies for Clarinet “Clarinetum” and in 2024 book about intense relationship between Conductor and Orchestra Musicians , “Conduct or be conducted” (Dirigiert oder Dirigiert werden).
